Our delivery policy is as shown below:

Free delivery applicable on certain orders only.

All deliveries are done using door-to-door couriers and your order is fully insured from the moment it leaves us, right up until it’s in your hands!

Currently, all orders placed online can only be delivered within the borders of South Africa – we are in the process of equipping the website to take orders from all African countries! Until then simply email your requirements through to info[at] and we will quote you based on your location. 

The Low Down!
Orders placed via telephone call shall be processed the same day if during office hours, alternatively they shall be processed the next working day. 

All orders placed on weekends will be processed on the Monday. 

All orders received by 1pm will be processed the same day and dispatched the following working day on condition that payment reflects in the bank account of Buy it at Cost (Pty) Ltd and assuming no stock availability issues.

Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched within 24-48hrs provided that it falls on a working day, and that payment reflects in the bank account of Buy it at Cost (Pty) Ltd. 

Delivery Lead Times
Main centres:         1 – 3 working days
Outlying areas:      2 – 5 working days

Extended Delivery Times
Certain items take a little bit longer to get to you, the shipping lead time of such items will be displayed on the website.

Special Orders
Certain special orders, including custom products, special configurations, and build to order Apple Macs, require varying order lead times. Please contact us for further information.

Home Appliances will incur special delivery costs based on your area of delivery.  

Receiving your delivery

Please arrange that you or your authorized representative, who is a responsible person, is available to accept your purchases at the delivery address and that appropriate access will be made available. On delivery, we will require you or your authorized representative to sign and print your or their name on a duplicate copy of the delivery note, to confirm receipt.  A copy of your ID will be required.

We have outsourced all deliveries and accordingly, we cannot, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for any damage suffered or loss incurred by reason of any acts or omissions of the courier.

Any person other than yourself who receives the products at the delivery address is presumed to be authorized to accept delivery on your behalf. Should no-one be available at the delivery address specified by you at the time of delivery, the driver will return the products. The courier company will attempt to contact you to make new arrangements for redelivery. Should no-one still be available we reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee should it be required under these circumstances. Our sole liability for failing to deliver the products timeously is limited to delivery being affected at a later agreed time at no additional charge.

Returns and cancellations

How to request a return

If you have an online account with us you can log a support ticket detailing your request with any supporting documentation or pictures. Alternatively you can contact the Online Call Centre on Our agents will guide you on the next steps to follow.

Cancelling your order

If you are not happy with your purchase you have up to 7 days from the day you received your order to return it without penalty.  We may charge you a fee for returning the item. This is subject to an assessment prior to the refund.
